The unconscious and desires of society are both constrained and revealed through our dreams and wishes. The contours of our lives are realized, shaped, hardened, and limited by them. The installation «Dream House» presents garments on which people have written and drawn their dreams and wishes. These garments become the supports and structures that hold up a floating roof. The roof rises and falls according to our wishes, dreams, and needs, while the form of the house appears and disappears like a dream. Built from people’s dreams, «Dream House» is a fragile architecture of shared desire: a temporary house that can exist only as long as it is collectively held up.
