Through a varied practice combining drawing, installation, and performance, I develop a universe around the notions of fragility and uncertainty that permeate our daily perceptions. In my work, things that we usually consider solid—in both a physical and psychological sense—become fluid, inconstant, ephemeral, and ghostly. I am particularly interested in all the barriers—both as notions and as forms—that are inherited or erected by our preconceived ideas. I create performances alongside my work in sculpture or installation. Recently, I have created several installations and performances on the theme of the home and the space of the bedroom. I craft everyday spaces and objects with malleable materials or synthetic images that do not retain the same form for long. The fragile, unstable, and light materials that I use for my performances and installations remind us of the fragility and uncertainty of daily life and everything we try to hold onto or fear will disappear. I reconstitute familiar spaces that are fragile, unstable, and ephemeral, making them appear and disappear by moving them through different locations or attempting to inhabit this ephemeral, fragile space. In my work, the motif of the house becomes the symbol of the limits of identity on a daily scale. These are social and cultural structures, consensuses, that lead us to conceive our mental frameworks as the only valid reality. When we perceive the ordinary as self-evident, it shows that we have forgotten the multitude of biases that shape our everyday vision. Through my artistic practice, I question how norms shape the framework of our own vision, whether of ourselves or of our surroundings. The concept of "home" has been conceived within the limits of our perception: "home" is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It is this idea that I am interested in developing through the notion of momentary identities.
